How we handle personal data in the Less Rework snagging system.

1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to lessrework.com and the Less Rework snagging service, operated by:

2. What data we collect
Data you give us
- Sample requests: name, company name, company email address, and anything you write in the message field.
- Contractor records: company name, email address and — optionally — phone number, entered by the site manager so that snag notifications can be delivered.
- Snag content: photographs, descriptions, locations, deadlines and the name of the person logging the snag, where entered.
Data collected automatically
- Technical logs: IP address, browser type and timestamps, kept for security and abuse prevention (for example, rate limiting of PIN attempts).
- Local storage: the app stores your language choice and offline queue in your own browser. This is not transmitted to us and is not used for tracking.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or third-party profiling.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of processors strictly to run the service:
- Hosting: our servers are located in Frankfurt, Germany (EU).
- Email delivery: a transactional email provider sends notification and enquiry emails on our behalf.
Because we are a US company, data you send us may be accessed from the United States. We rely on the appropriate safeguards required by GDPR Chapter V for such transfers.
5. How long we keep it
- Project data: by default one month after a project closes. This can be extended on request, at extra cost.
- Sample requests: for as long as needed to answer you, and no longer than 12 months.
- Technical logs: a short period, typically no more than 30 days.
6. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, write to info@lessrework.com. Contractor personal data (email, phone) can be erased on request while keeping the snag history intact.
7. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to closing and returning snags is protected by a PIN, and administrative functions are separated and rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat site data as confidential and design accordingly.
8. Children
The service is intended for professional use on construction sites and is not directed at children.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Material changes will be communicated to active customers by email.
